Tap at brewery, GABF ’09.
Pours a nice cloudy yellow with a generous white head. Aroma is springy, zesty lemon peel and barnyard. Average mouthfeel that is slightly tingly. A clean, refreshing beer.

Draft at Avery. The only bad beer of the lot. Like budweiser. No sour notes. Poured it out. Too many other good brews to be had.

On tap @ Avery. Aroma is light floral hops , the barnyard brett and a much more subdued peach/jasmine character than the normal 16 (the overwhelming synthetic peach aroma was my real beef with the normal version). Flavor is the same, wonderful carbonation and a great balance between the sour funky brett and the floral crisp hops and light spiciness. Eminently quaffable, Wonderful beer. Wish they’d have released this as the ’Main’ 16.

Draught at Avery. Pours cloudy light yellow with an average, frothy white head. mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (straw, hay, meal), average hop (flowers, perfume, lemon), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard) with notes of wine, Brettanomyces and coriander. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a sour finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and sourness.

On tap at Avery poured a cloudy yellow with a small lasting white head. Aromas of horseblanket, barnyard, spice, leather, lightly floral and light fruittiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of floral, barnyard, leather, citrus and light spice with a smooth dry funky finish. Much better with Brett!
