Yeasty and citrusy aroma.
The flavor is well-balanced. Malty, but not sweet. Bitter, but not tongue poundingly so. Notes of orange blossom honey on the palate. Light-bodied with a mostly watery, but slightly silky mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. Crisp, clean finish with lingering notes of straw and butter.
Refreshing brew! howie (549), DeForest, Wisconsin, USA

More parrots on the bottle than expected. Fairly non-descript in appearance, but I found nothing else to complain about. Ernest (4501), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 22, 2002 Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (lemon), lightly yeasty (sweat). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. The acidity is partly the dull yeasty kind, but overall the balance is good. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 26, 2002 Bright straw color with a a tall white head. Mild fresh hop and fresh mowed grass aroma. Sweet pale malt flavor. Semi-sharp mild white pepper finish. Actually not bad for a American Wheat. softale (188), Michigan, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 14, 2002 Very light golden in color. Huge head initially that quickly faded but left some nice lacing. Smells very un-wheatlike, in fact it was hard to dicipher anything but the cascades they use as finishing hops. Not a good wheat beer. Drew (2410), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 10, 2002 Clear gold - obviously a filtered wheat. not much of the typical wheat flavor - must have been filtered out! This is more of a very light APA - but it does have some nice citrus and light hop flavor. Just a good thirst quencher. Aubrey (2778), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 2, 2002 Clear straw-golden color. Watery and smooth up front. Rich and dry in the finish. Very light and gentle. Some bitterness lingers in the aftertaste. Clean, without any off-flavors to complain about, just a little underwhelming... unfortunate for such a great brewery! jazz88 (2238), San Francisco, California, USA
