A not-so-traditional American Wheat Ale, Calypso provides an incredibly easy drinking beer with a hoppy kick that's sure to please. On a hot summer day, nothing will cleanse the palate better.

Slightly hazy straw color. Small, creamy white head. Mostly, but not fully diminishing. Decent lacing. Yeasty and citrusy aroma. The flavor is well-balanced. Malty, but not sweet. Bitter, but not tongue poundingly so. Notes of orange blossom honey on the palate. Light-bodied with a mostly watery, but slightly silky mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. Crisp, clean finish with lingering notes of straw and butter. Refreshing brew!

Bright straw color with a a tall white head. Mild fresh hop and fresh mowed grass aroma. Sweet pale malt flavor. Semi-sharp mild white pepper finish. Actually not bad for a American Wheat.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (lemon), lightly yeasty (sweat). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. The acidity is partly the dull yeasty kind, but overall the balance is good.

Clear straw-golden color. Watery and smooth up front. Rich and dry in the finish. Very light and gentle. Some bitterness lingers in the aftertaste. Clean, without any off-flavors to complain about, just a little underwhelming... unfortunate for such a great brewery!

Bottle from Slob. Thanks! Pours too-clear yellow but with a nice head and lacing. Hoppy, sour citrus in the nose. Tastes like a watered-down IPA, with hints of musty hops and aged grapefruit. Mouthfeel is surprisingly thick. Wheat? More like an APA, but still good.

Clear gold - obviously a filtered wheat. not much of the typical wheat flavor - must have been filtered out! This is more of a very light APA - but it does have some nice citrus and light hop flavor. Just a good thirst quencher.

Bottle. Almost a clear yellow but a large foamy white head. Some citrus and hop aroma. Not much flavor, dry, wheat, thing body.

Large white head, lasting with some spotty lacing. Clear gold color. Lightly flowery hop nose, some breadyness also. Light body. Light fruity, grainy flavor, citrusy also. Finish is dry. OK merican wheat.
