Draught, Boulder Strong Ale Fest, Apr 08. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with notes of banana/gum and alcohol. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Esters seem to steal the show a bit here, which is odd for a lager but so be it. Very sweet without much to balance. Not fond of this one.

Sampled at ’08 BSAF. Beer is cloudy, medium golden brown with a small, white, frothy, mostly and quickly diminishing head.
The aroma is malty with moderate notes of caramel, toasted grain, cookie, brown sugar; Hoppy with a trace of alfalfa; Miscellaneous notes start with a flickering trace of anise, lasting notes of light alcohol and generic tropical fruit.
The flavor is lightly acidic, moderately sweet with a long, warm, light/moderately sweet, trace bitter, slightly husky/dusy finish.
The body is medium, the texture is watery/velvety and the carbonation is light/moderate.

tap at the brewery - Pours slightly hazy golden with a lingering white head. It smells mainly of pale malts. The taste is sweet with a little alcohol and a hint of fruit esters. It’s medium bodied and has a warming finish. This one’s alright, but doesn’t quite work for me. The regular Salvation is better (this beer is the Salvation recipe lagered).

On tap @ Avery poured a clear gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of bread, straw and light fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of straw, fruitiness and hiunts of carmel with a crisp moderatly bitter finish.

Draught at Avery. Pours sparkling yellow with a large, frothy, white head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, straw, meal), average hops (flowers), average yeast (sweat) with notes of banana, peach, and cooked corn/vegetables. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.
