| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 17, 2009 BGH: tap: tulip: all the makings of a classic honestly... headstrong sweaty, oily, piny hops... the taste is much the same. In my opinion the style is better than regular IPA, and this brew is an example of that. Deep complexity, some lightly roasted malts and sugars, earthy, woodsy tones... and delicious hops! daknole (2981), Plantation, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2009 Deep bronze colored body with a slightly off white head. The nose has lots of grapefruit and sugar cookies. There is also a little bit of resiny woody pine sap goodness. The taste has lots of grapefruit up front with a little bit of wood and tons of brown sugar molasses in the finish. There is also a little bit of pancakes throughout. A thick chewy body complements the sweeter IPA. A nice one that is a little hot, but it works. jumpjet2k (159), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2009 Bomber. Clear orange with a sizable tan head. Aroma is lots of resin/pine hops. Flavor is largely the same, accompanied by some caramel malt. It’s a good IIPA, but I wouldn’t necessarily say there’s anything particularly unique about it. Fratto (740), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2009 Clear orange with a nice fluffy white head. Herbal grassy citrus aroma. Tastes of caramel grapefruit grass pine and sage. Very well balanced without any harshness from the hops. graham515 (430), Houston, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 11/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Pours gold into the glass with a white head. Aroma is pine resin and some citrus. Flavor is intense hop bitterness. Everything seems to be going according to plan, except for the extremely thin body. Alcohol is somewhat apparent, but I just can’t get passed the thin body.
