Commercial Description:
Lupulin Rapture Incarnate! As fervent devotees of hops, we found ourselves on a quest to create a transcendental IPA capable of quenching our voracious lupulin desires. Our mantra became “unity of bitterness, hop flavor and aroma.” Enlightened, duganA IPA was born: A brutally bitter, dank, piney and resinous ale designed for those seeking a divine hop experience.

Pours with an amber body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet yet bitter and hoppy with piney notes and a hint of mint. the aroma has a much more pronounced mint note. Full bodied, astringent and warming.

On tap at RFD’s in Washington, DC. Clear amber color with a medium white head that fades to a ring and leaves some good lacing. Aroma is nice sweet malt, caramel, and citrus/pine hops. Hops really jump out on the nose. Flavor is nice caramel malt with some pale malt thrown in, but more hops than malt on this one, as you expect from an IPA. Citrus and pine dominate in this one, but there are also some grassy/earthy notes in there. Pretty solid. Medium-full body, somewhat syrupy, with some hop resin lingering on the palate.

Pours copper / bronze with a fluffy beige head that’s quite rocky. The aroma has lots of dank green onion hops. There is also hoppy pine, pepper, dry grapefruit and a hint of malt and sweetness, but it is mainly hoppy. Medium body that has a grainy feel with gentle prickly carbonation. The flavor beings with everything mentioned on the aroma with some spicy notes added to hop profile. The finish is a bit medicinal that somehow works. It is very dank and earthy. Great beer.

DRINK THIS ASAP. What a nice surprise from Avery, hardly the malt driven maharajah that rates so highly, this is a very nice hop bomb, i wouldn’t be surprised if this tops out higher then 93 IBUs given the beautiful hop character. Pours an orange nectar body with a white head. Huge citrus, grass, and almost spiced hop resins. Honey, mmm yes honey notes, pine and lush fresh cut grass and more honey, what a way to drive in the malt bill, either i had an awesome bottle or this just hit the spot, fantastic.

22 oz bottle. Pours clear amber with a beige sticky head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma of pine resin, floral hops, sweet citrus and a bit of caramel. The bitterness hits you right away and carries through for a long finish, the sweet malt is always there lingering in the background, just a light alcohol taste. Medium body with average carbonation and a syrupy mouth feel. They really hit the mark with the aroma hops in this one, everything else about it is solid too.

Bomber from Binny’s Beverage Depot in Orland Park, Illinois: This poured a clear copper body with a tall, dirty egg-shell head that pasted some spotty lace on the glass. The aroma wasfull of hoppy scents - resinous pine, grapefruit zest, unripe tangerines... Occassionally, some light malty sweetness oozed out. The flavor has just enough of a grainy sweetness to serve as a backbone to the strong hop flavors and bitterness. The finish was dry and had a prolonged piney bite. Very nice.

I had this from draft. Great IPA. The IBU’s must be high, because the finish is very bitter. The hops have a pine/grassy and citrus flavors. The color is a deep gold color with a nice head that lasts a long time. Great alcohol balance.
