Pour is an orange with a large white head. Aroma is deffinatly a pine hop with almost a peach scent. Flavor is more resin and pine hops with some more peach and maybe apricot fruitness. Not exactly sweet but this is deffinatly fruity. Deffinatly not an over the top hop bomb, although they are there, but the fruit aspect makes this a defferent IIPA to look for.

Dec 26, 2009 Pours orange with a thin off-white head. Notes of stinky sour citrus, mango, tropical fruits, and thick resins. Full bodied, thick and resinous with moderate carbonation. A great IPA!

Dec 26, 2009 Pours a clear amber color with thin off white head. Aroma is of intense pine and hop resin with clean malt aroma. Taste is of intense resinous pine, floral notes and light caramel backbone. Alcohol is well hidden. A very complex, spicy and drinkable beer.

Dec 26, 2009 aroma is crunchy toffee and citrus hops. appearance is translucent amber. flavor is chewy caramel malt and citrus hops, very substantial malt. big slow moving caramelization, well developed toffee really lingers.

Dec 25, 2009 Thanks for sharing, bro! Pours a rich caramel color with a large off-white pillowy head which fades rather slowly, leaving a few streaks on the glass. Aroma is resinous hops, caramel malts, and light citrus notes. Taste is rather heavy, strong on the caramel malts and a high spruce-like bitterness. Not too bad, just not easily drinkable and a bit too apparent in bitterness than I generally prefer.

Dec 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Resinous hop aroma with a ton of sweetness. The flavor has piny and citric hops and a malty sweetness. Pretty good.

Dec 25, 2009 Sampled on 12/12/2009. This Imperial IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Large to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is reisny, piney, citrusy hops and caramel malts. A medium to full bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are piney and citrusy. Lots of hop flavors without a whole lot of hop bitterness considering the amount of hops they had to use in this beer. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

Dec 24, 2009 Tap at Blind Lady. An absolute hop monster. Not quite as profound as the Maharaja, but very floral, sticky and pungent. I liked this quite a bit.

Dec 23, 2009 Poured dark amber/orange with stark white head. Nose full of resiny piney hops with some citrusy character. Taste is full of thick hops, palate is thick and leads to a lasting bitterness. Excellent DIPA and one of my favorites from Avery!
