Commercial Description:
We're hopheads. We LOVE hops. Just can't seem to get enough of them. To satisfy our lupulin desires and to commemorate our anniversary, we've created ELEVEN. Describing this double IPA as "aggressively hopped" is an understatement. Words cannot describe what your olfactory senses are about to enjoy. Yes, it's hoppy. Shockingly hoppy. 90 IBUs.

Orange cream colored, sizable white head, good lacing. Nose of fresh citrusy hops, starfruit, lychees, rose oil. Taste is more on the bitter side but there’s plenty of body & sweetness to pair it. Finishes tart & sweet, fruity hops. Good stuff.

Hazy orange color with no head. There is a slightly hoppy and piney aroma with some grasses as well. The taste is surprisingly subdued, yet still offers up a hit of bitterness and hops.

Quite good IIPA - lots of hops to chew on without disrupting the balance . Alcohol is also hidden. Orange/amber color, very grassy green nose.

Orange Coloring with White Bubbly Ring. Hoppy Aroma. Very Well Balanced Impy IPA! Plenty of Hops to Go Around, but Not Overbearingly So, so That Anyone Could Find This Highly Enjoyable. Plenty of Good Warming. I’m Not a ’Hop Head’, But This Brew Makes Me Want to Think Otherwise!

22oz bomber with a foil covered cap. This one poured out a slightly hazy amber color with a good sized off white head. Retention was fairly good for this type of beer and it left a nice lace about the glass. Ahhh the Double IPA hop attack to the nose is defiantly present with nice citrus and floral hop scents dominating over a bit of malt for balance. The taste is similar to the nose but tamer, there are plenty of hops here to give any hophead their fix. Lots of citrus and earthy notes here with a bit of malt and a good bitter after taste that is less biting than most other DIPA’s. Not very balanced but who cares that’s the style. Mouthfeel is full and creamy and went down fairly easy. Overall a good beer that is a bit more balanced and tame than the typical Double IPA.

One of the best IPAs. It’s too bad it was an anniversary bottling that we may never see again.

22 oz bottle, 6 months of age: fuzzy peach look to it, with a creamy, fairly large bubbled froth…grapefruit juice soaked pine cones fill an intense aroma and play lead in a cast of citrus performers: orange zest, lemon rind and soft limes. A promising aroma yields a fairly one dimensional flavour profile: resiny hop cones, filled with bitter caramel honey. Creamy palate with an overwhelming citrus character. The bitterness sticks to the tongue and lasts on its own, producing intense hop belches. An intensely hoppy beer, as expected, but with far less development and complexity (not to mention malt) than I was expecting.
22 oz bottle...sampled after 4 years: Huge explosive cap removal - unlike any I have experienced before with a cap...many time with a cork, but not capped...anyway - the resiny hop cones have mellowed and changed to reveal a much tastier beer. Smooth, creamy caramel, light piney bitterness and sweet cherries. The alcohol has moved to the background as the sugars have melded with the yeast and hops to create a balanced and tasty treat. Huge head and a beautiful copper body. I think that I got lucky pulling this one out of the cellar for Labour Day!
