Commercial Description:
We're hopheads. We LOVE hops. Just can't seem to get enough of them. To satisfy our lupulin desires and to commemorate our anniversary, we've created ELEVEN. Describing this double IPA as "aggressively hopped" is an understatement. Words cannot describe what your olfactory senses are about to enjoy. Yes, it's hoppy. Shockingly hoppy. 90 IBUs.

Lighter amber w/ a lasting white head, laces well. Piney hops dominate at first, but caramel and toasty malts balance pretty well. Hints of grapefruit behind piney hops; medium fruitines beyond citrus, like apricots. Piney hop flavor up front as well, lighty lemony citrus as it warms. Very low toasty malt flavor. Well balanced, caramel malt helps out here; piney finish & a bit on the malt flavored side in the aftertaste. aftertaste is also a little grassy. Full body, medium carbonation, well hidden alcohol, smooth overall. Not a bad IIPA, but others are better. Middle of the road.

big resiny hop aroma with subtle grassy notes, glowing orange with a tightly packed medium sized head, strong resinous hops with building chewy bitterness and small notes of orange peel and clove, overall a tad light bodied but a beautiful and tasty beer

Well as self-proclaimed hopheads they don’t disappoint. But perhaps it needed some balance to make it special. Lots of beers can be very hoppy, and I guess the style, such as it is, calls for it, but I couldn’t find much else in there. well there was some sweetness too I suppose, to be fair. Nice orange-amber colour though. I was happy to try it but I think it might have just been too much at the time we sampled it - cheers to radiomgb for sharing though.

Assertive pine-orange hop nose. The hops went straight to my ears. Hazy orange with thin white head that diminished to ring. Aggressive hop flavour and bitterness. Body a bit thin. Sure it’s shockingly hoppy, but there’s not a lot else to be found. Bottle sampled with beerhugger, CapFlu, DumDum, muzzlehatch, radiomgb and Rastacouere.

22 oz bottle shared with less excitement than expected with DumDum, beerhugger, radiomgb, CapFlu, tiggmtl, Rastacouere. Solid amber, bit o’ head. Nice sweet, honey-hop nose...very sweet but also fairly harshly hoppy on the tongue...this was fairly late in the session and I honestly wasn’t as on as I could have been, but for me it was just OK...just didn’t stand up to some of the other heavyweights we hit.

22oz: Amber to orange hue, mostly clear, gentle off-white 1cm foam. Surprisingly sweet orange and honey aroma. It feels very candyish up the nostrils, a grapefruit yeast candy is how I put it. On the palate, this is an hop salad, extremely grapefruity, not quite harsh, less than expected anyway, but still very bitter, aggressively dry, teeth attacking and with a poor toothpaste aftertaste. I feel like anything could add balance to this. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed how the body seems to evolve from rather watery at first into a creamier blend as it warms.

(20oz bottle) Lastin white, creamy head with an orange non-carbonated body. Gorgeous hi-hop and grapefruit nose. Flavours of smokey-hops and the famous Cascades. Oranges through and through. Succulent!

Pours deep yellow/golden with mild head. Nose is of BIG hops, with citrus notes. Flavor is very bitter with lemony, orange grapefruit undertones. Excellent IPA. Another great job by Avery.
