Very soft mouthfeel save the bitter finish. Big round hop taste, quite balanced and nice. Slight alcohol burn up through the nose in the finish. Roasted malt taste insanely late in the aftertaste, as usual. Very easy to drink.Get this for sure! KAggie97 (2469), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 26, 2004 Thaks to Fly for delivering this gem to me in Austin. Dark orange appearance with an extemely frothy thick head; excellent lacing - looks very appetizing. Fresh floral aroma with some soft fruity accents - pears and nectarines perhaps. Flavor has some hoppy citrusy notes to it - but not tongue numbing. Has a good malty backbone to back it up. Not as one dimensional as some of these Imp IPAs tend to be. Catch a faint taste of alcohol in the back end, but otherwise it is hidden very well - the mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Chalk me up as satisfied and impressed. boto (1339), Granby, Connecticut, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 22, 2004 22oz. bomber: This one pours a hazy, orangish color. There was a bit of a darker off-white head to it. The aroma is quite nice. HOPS, HOPS, HOPS! There is a full aroma of many different hops, with grapefruit being the most prevalent, but also containing floral and pine notes. The taste is quite good also, being very hoppy but suprisingly not overly bitter (Maybe I have been drinking too many Imperial IPA’s). Backed up by a medium malt body. Even a hint of sweetness coming through in the aftertaste. Excellent! footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Nice beer to try out and i’m glad to get a chance at this anniversary ale.
