Aromas of oranges, grapefruits, some flowers, grass and malts. Nice sweet and bitter balance. Easy to drink. Mmmm, very good. adwoan99 (244), Ft. Worth, Texas, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 7, 2004 Very nice. Pours a nice orangish/amber, with little head, that quickly dissipates. Props go to the palate, which is very nice, considering it’s style. Flavour is almost all hoppy - yeah, 90 IBU’s. Aroma is almost all hops, citrus, grapefruity. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 3, 2004 Updated: Dec 5, 2004I am sitting here sipping this along with Great Divide’s new imperial ipa Hercules. I am comparing the two.
The eleven is a bright orange. It’s creamy white head retains well and leaves sheets of lacing.
It’s aroma is subtle but still enjoyable. It’s quite sweet and the hops are grassy, floral and citric.
Sweet throughout. Tangerines, grapefruits and pine first. Vanilla, white chocolate, caramel is next. The finish is full of sour green apple juice. Very smooth and creamy palate. Light bitterness. Low carbonation. Zinister (1207), Houston, Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 2, 2004 Cloudy amber pour...strong piney-hop nose...very nice. Tastes the same with big hop flavor and great maltiness. Finishes big...but not over the top. Great for hop-heads. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 30, 2004 Updated: Oct 16, 2004Pours a hazy amber with a small, chunky tan head. Aroma is busting with piney and grapefruity hops and a solid malt backbone. Flavor is really not as over-the-top hoppy as I expected due to the massive maltiness, but there is a nice peppery/citrus character that lasts into the dry, sticky, bitter finish. Alcohol is not very noticeable. Good! qdog (201), Cleveland, Mississippi, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 28, 2004 Bottle. Pours up a medium amber color. Head is off-white, medium lived. Nice lacing. Aroma is a nice balance of hops and malt. Floral, sweet smelling. Taste is malty, quick bitterness. Long hop finish. Balance is well done. Indra (2036), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 28, 2004 Hearty hop aroma, juicy, green and lightly floral with hints of peach, pineapple and grapefruit alongside the faint, honeyish background sweetness. Medium-dark orange-amber color, very lightly hazy, with a lasting, creamy ivory head and copious amounts of lace. Flavor begins with a dollop of sugary (crystal?) malt sweetness but is thereafter entirely subsumed by a wave of hop resins, fresh and citric, carrying through to the fully bitter and refreshing close. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, medium-full bodied. Lightly warming after a few minutes of consumption. Tasty. Thanks to slob!
