Commercial Description:
This beautiful, deep russet brew has the sweet and somewhat nutty character of Adam Avery's late (1992-2002) Chocolate Lab, for which it is named. Crystal and chocolate malts give this beer a brown sugar maltiness with hints of vanilla and nuts, while subtle hopping gives it an overall drinkability that's second to none, just like Ellie!

12oz bottle. Pours a tan head with a caramel brown brown body. Smells of caramel biscuits and hops. Tastes the same. The hops are mild but the fact that they are makes me like them.

This a damn fine ale! I must admit, was skeptical about trying a beer with an ugly dog on it, but I figured what the heck. This has a nice murky dark brown color. Has hints of malts, nuts, coffee, and something sweet that I just can’t put my finger on. Taste is a smooth, lighter bodied brown ale. Tastes of malts, nuts, and a little bit of a burnt coffee. Nice and smooth. Has a nice and tasty finish. And absolute pleasure to have tried this one.

Very nice dark brown color with a white forming head. Great taste of malts and a very nutty feel and taste. Good hops not to much though. Good brew!

Pours a dark barely translucent brown with a decently frothy head. Light aroma includes some toasted malts and a slight fruitiness. Flavor is mostly toasted malt, some nuttiness and a little bitterness from the hops. Overall has character but not overpowering.
