Vaguely cidery quality to the otherwise simple crystal malt falvour. Not very nutty or hoppy to me. I’ll have to try this one again some time. astrofrk (218), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 1, 2008 A canonical brown. Looks fantastic. Aroma is nutty, hint of roast, and some good malt. Flavor is just excellent, nice malt with some good hop hints. Finish is clean and good. You can’t go wrong with this brown. Avery’s kinda known for their huge beers, but this is one of their best, methinks.
