Mar 14, 2008 Pours a very light brown, almost amber, with nice carbonation and a small but creamy off white head. The nose is slightly sweet with a touch of toffee and roasted nuts. The flavor has a nice roasted maltiness following the nose perfectly. Finishes sweet and smooth. Nice beer.

Mar 9, 2008 Bottle, Brown pour/ slightly tan head. Malty, roasted aroma. Alot going on with this one. Flavors of Chocolate, roast, vanilla. Everything was whipped together in a good blend that was rather enjoyable.

Mar 7, 2008 A very good brown ale. Pours out a darker brown color with a large beige head. aroma is sweet and malty. Flavor is very much the same with a nice nutty finish. overall this is a solid brown ale. one of the best i have drank.

Feb 29, 2008 Light brown beer with off-white head. Has a muted aroma but some American hop notes are present. Tastes bittersweet with nutty, caramel flavors. Has a slight astringency that I don’t care for. Has a great aftertaste, though.

Feb 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a nice clean and clear dark brown. Aroma is sweet and malty with some nuttiness. The best part of this beer is the flavor. For a brown ale this is a little thinker more flavor of chocolate malts and vanilla and the roasted nuts come though also. Overall a good beer.

Feb 24, 2008 June 2007 - Nice brown ale. Pour was typical brown color, nice head and lacing. Weak aroma of roasted malts. Good blend of roast, nuts, caramel hops...slight hop bitterness. Good beer.

Feb 20, 2008 Pours a clear dark brown with a small tan head that disappears fairly quickly. Aroma is subtle, but very malty and nutty. The flavor is sweet with a light nutty bitterness in the finish. Nice creamy feel but not too heavy. This is a nice, easy to drink brown.

Feb 19, 2008 I have never been a big fan of brown ales, probably because my first brown ale was a Newcastle, which I still consider to smell and taste skunked. This is a very nice brown. Medium thickness, creamy, with a good head. It has a creamy mouthfeel, oozes maltiness, and has very subtle flavors of chocolate malts and vanilla. This worked very well with the mushroom pizza made with mild cheeses that we ate.
