Commercial Description:
This beautiful, deep russet brew has the sweet and somewhat nutty character of Adam Avery's late (1992-2002) Chocolate Lab, for which it is named. Crystal and chocolate malts give this beer a brown sugar maltiness with hints of vanilla and nuts, while subtle hopping gives it an overall drinkability that's second to none, just like Ellie!

Brown pour with a thin white head. Hints of sweet malts and caramel. Not a bad brown ale. Not my favorite style. But decent all around.

A very pleasant aroma of nutty malts. Brown though transparent. Medium bodied. Not an easy drinking beer for me though, it has a slight skunk to the flavor.

Dark brown, slightly copper in color. Thin off white head. A mostly malty nose with hints of spice and nuttiness. A medium bodied brown with a slightly bitter finish.

Bottle. Brownish colour with a huge mostly lasting beige head. Rich malty aroma with notes of caramel and fruits. Nice sweet taste with some bitter notes. Good beer.

Poured the color of a well steeped iced tea with a tan foamy head that quickly disapperared to a thin layer. The beer had a nice malty aroma. The initial taste was a bit of citrus with just a hint of a chocolate finish. This was a very mild beer with not too much flavor. This would be perfect for those who prefer dark beers that aren’t too strong or bitter. A nice beer to have several without feeling full.

Definite nut, chocolate, and malt aroma/flavor. Very smooth, pours a dark brown into the glass with minimal head. Quite enjoyable. 12 oz. bottle.
