| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2007 Surprising. Brown ales so often have a metallic zing to the malt, but this beer from Avery really dodged that tin bullet. Just enough hops to keep your tongue awake and chewy enough to keep your attention. Well rounded and just tasty. brigg (216), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 23, 2007 Deep brown pour, clear reddish hue, small tan head that fades fast. Aroma has floral malty aroma. Flavor is very straight forward, Nice malt, some hops, a bit more acidity then I like, a bit more carbonation then I like too. An OK brown. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 7, 2007 This is a world class brown ale. Pours brown, smells of fresh walnuts and brown sugar, and cures a chocoholics craving in the beer form. This beer is under-rated and should be tried again by everyone!
