| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 7, 2006 Scarlett on the glass, boasting an attractive parchment head and silly-string lacing. While still foamy, the bouquet exhibits bubblegum, dried banana and pinenapple chips, and spicy hop; however, vinous aromas dominate once the head collapses. Neither extreme really says "beer" to me. Barely interesting generic malt flavor, chocolate, walnut, and more spicy hop. Smokey? Each sip is different. Starts sweet, finishes tart. lovemyipas (420), sw burbs, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2006 Updated: May 25, 2007pours a dark brown with a very nice four finger white to off white head. not to much of an aroma where you can tell whats in there but there is a little hops, caramel, and chocolate smell right after the pour. flavor is a smooth hops taste with some nutty, caramel, chocolate taste. medium body with some lacing, very smooth though, i like it very well balanced. hop aroma is a little stronger half way down the glass when the head disappears. the head seems to seal in the aroma. big lacing half way down and more of the hop flavor comes out little creamy through out as well.
