Bottle. Brown reddish in colour with a small head. Roasted malts and nuts. And also a slight hint of caramel. Nice sweetness.

Dark dark red with a thin white head and plenty of attractive lacing. The aroma is nutty chocolate and almost peanut buttery. The flavor presents more roast and again a pleasent nutty character. This is a tastey brown all.

Strong roasty and peanuty aroma. Very smooth and creamy and delicious. Flavor is a bit more thin, roasty, creamy, chestnut though lacking the nice peanut-butter of the aroma.

Perfect chestnut brown with a glimmer of orange highlighting the edges and bottom. Keeps a compact medium stacked foam of dark sandy brown. Fades out to a slim collaring and broken skim. Lacing is stringy and sporatically placed as so. Aroma is soft and delicate with cocoa powder and some hazelnut notes. Taste is profoundly steeped in a cocoa powder presense thats fairly well rounded in a milky chocolateyness with small notes of vanilla, brown sugar, and hazelnut. There’s a light berry-like backing underneath mixing with some caramel and the finish is fluffy, lasting, and rich and whisped with a unbittered leafy hopping. A very nice tasting brown. Lots of character and length. Feel is a bit over medium in body with a smooth, full carbonation holding chocolate malt on the palate for a good while and keeping delicate soft characteristics the whole ride through. A very solid and sessionable/drinkable brown ale. Another Avery keeper. On a style choice note: this seemed much more like an American Brown then an English Brown. But what the hell do I care, its damn good either way you put it.

Appearance12 oz bottle pours medium brown, almost cola like, clear with a ¾ inch off white fluffy head, quickly fades downs to nothing, lacing that is produced is very sparse Aroma very faint caramel and nuts, semi-sweet chocolate chips come out as well, overall fragrance is very mild Flavor: nutty more than anything, mocha, toffee, bready/yeasty, the taste is not very strong for the style Palate a little watery and thin, light bodied, good carbonation Overall: a decent brown ale, but not one that I would seek out, it’s a bit mild so it might be a good crossover beer.

Very sweet tasting, aromas of malt. Poured brownish red with below average head and average lacing. Felt smooth in the mouth and went down nicely. Will drink again.

12 oz. Bottle: Aroma is awful. Maybe a bad bottle? Smells acrid and a little sweet and skunky. Dark rust color. Clear. Slightly sparkling. Medium, rocky, light brown head. Decent lacing. Flavor is malty with notes of brown sugar, nuts, and pizza box. Slightly sweet but slightly bitter finish. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Astringent finish. Overall, this beer was a bit off in aroma and flavor, despite how it looked. Not likely to drink this one again.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of nuts and roast although very faint, almost no smell at all. Flavor is vert smooth, nuts, roast, a littl ethin but good.
