Commercial Description:
This beautiful, deep russet brew has the sweet and somewhat nutty character of Adam Avery's late (1992-2002) Chocolate Lab, for which it is named. Crystal and chocolate malts give this beer a brown sugar maltiness with hints of vanilla and nuts, while subtle hopping gives it an overall drinkability that's second to none, just like Ellie!

Bottle. Pours clear dark reddish brown with a 2 finger tan head that leaves decent lacing. The nose is sweet malt and roasted nuts. The taste is cocoa, roasted nuts and toasted malt. Medium semi-creamy finish. Good Brown!

Legit. Very rarely does a brown ale come along that really impresses me but this certainly did the job. Nice malty flavor with a sweet, vanilla flavor. Tasted like a cake almost.

12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a clear brown color with a 3/4 finger thick light tan head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is a lightly toasted caramel malt. Flavor is a sweet toasted malt and light chocolate. Medium body. No lingering aftertaste. A very nice Brown ale.

Easy drinking brown. Not too sharp or nutty. Roasted caramel, cofee and some sweetness with no odd bitterness.

Nice nutty/caramel aroma. Flavor has notes of roasted malt, caramel, biscuit and a very faint hint of vanilla. Good body and a smooth finish.

clear dark cola brown colored pour with a nearly white head. coffee nuttiness is first noticed in the sniffer... it’s followed by earthy dryness, wood, cocoa butter and malt. the flavor is quite coffee filled with notes of chocolate, toasty malt, toffee, vanilla and a faint bitterness with a dry earthy finish. chocolate and coffee stick around in the aftertaste. medium body is terribly easy to drink! 7/3/7/3/15/3.5

Bottle. Pours a clear dark reddish brown with a decent fizzy off-white head. Smells like roasty, nutty cereal with a little vanilla. Tastes the same. A little creamy but a little thin.
