This beer is good and interesting. We definitly have that wild yeast stinky farmhouse smell going on here. A sweet melon nose kinda lingers underneath the sweat. Copper to brown in color with a small white head that petered away rather quidkly. A bit of a sour thing happening but not largely, interesting back flavors of sweet fruit , rock candy and spiciness. mellows as it sits. I had this at the brewhouse so maybe its a bit lack luster in the bottle?

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark golden with a thin white head, good lacing. Aroma is sour yeast and sweet malts. Notes of dark fruit, pepper, fig, and some other spices stand out. On the palate, it is surprisingly chewy. The flavor brings out a bit of a banana character. It finshes dry and a bit sour. This beer was very interesting to say the least. It has almost a wine type flavor and is pretty complex. With that said, I am not a huge fan.
