Bomber. Beer is slightly cloudy, medium amber-orange colored. Head is initially large, white, frothy. Diminishes mostly but stays as a creamy frothy thin lid.
The aroma is wild, sweet, fruity. Malty with moderate notes of cookie, toasted bread, lighter note of creamy caramel; Moderate lemon zest hop flare, lighter background of herb; Moderately/heavily yeasty with Bret notes of horse blanket and barn yard, band-aid, lesser note of bubble gum; Moderately vinous with a note of dried current
The flavor is moderately acidic/juicy/dry, lightly bittersweet. The finish is moderately long, lightly acidic and trace bitter. Yeasty notes from the aroma linger back in the retronasals.
The body is medium, the texture is watery and the carbonation is average/lively.
Plenty going on to sniff around at, but not really a stopper.

Dec 23, 2009 Bottle. Nutmeg, lemon/orange, and sour milk malt aroma. Orange-yellow color with minimal head. Spicy orange and dry hay flavor. Slightly bitter finish. Nice saison-like beer.

Dec 9, 2009 Bottle. Pours light amber with white head that dissipated quickly. Aroma of candy, bananas, slight sour note. Taste a tad sour, fruity, slighty dry finish with a bit of alcohol.

Nov 17, 2009 Draught. Hazy pumpkin orange with thin white head. Aroma of bananas, apples and raw honey; unique smell. Taste is woody with notes of the aforementioned fruit, very dry. Bitter and astringent finish.

Nov 13, 2009 had to get use to this one here. this is a thanksgiving beer, you can only have one. the figs are all over the place man, just crazy figs dancing all over. intense, but not that good.

Nov 10, 2009 Gold amber blonde color. Light/medium head. Lots of unusual aromas.
Dry flavor, quite funky, lots of brett. hibiscus flowers, light spices. Very tasty. Did Avery just make a good beer??

Oct 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark golden with a thin white head, good lacing. Aroma is sour yeast and sweet malts. Notes of dark fruit, pepper, fig, and some other spices stand out. On the palate, it is surprisingly chewy. The flavor brings out a bit of a banana character. It finshes dry and a bit sour. This beer was very interesting to say the least. It has almost a wine type flavor and is pretty complex. With that said, I am not a huge fan.
