Commercial Description:
15 years of brewing! You know what's been the best part lately? Tons of experimentation! For the last couple of years, we've been working with several strains of brettanomyces (wild yeast). We found one and deemed it the best for it's tart flavor and funky, fruity aroma. Adding black mission figs for a subtle jammy aspect, hibiscus flowers for an herbal bouquet and hazy sunset hue, and white pepper for a bit of spicy twang, we've created FIFTEEN - a unique drinking experience inspired by the wild farmhouse ales of Belgium. Though immensely complex today, more flavor will emerge with time, so throw a few bottles in your cellar for future celebrations. Thanks to all of you who have made our 15-year ride possible! Peace to all and follow your dreams! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, malted wheat, hops, black mission figs, hibiscus flowers, white pepper, and a very unique strain of brettanomyces yeast.

Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Poured a hazy gold with fizzy white head. Aroma was very nice, very fruity, rasberries, cranbeeries, and other things I can’t identify, I think an acidic quality, could be the barnyard they mentioned...maybe just from the fruit, but I like the funky aroma. Flavor is very nice!!!! When you take a drink, you get the acidic fumes as well....Very nice citric tart, very light sweet malty taste. It is somewhat complex to me, slight alcohol spice. Palate is very nice, seems soft and crisp with medium-high carbonation....I really liked this....If this is whats capable with wild yeast, I will have to try and make this too.....

This was ok with a smooth belgian farmhouse taste and a bitter yet nasty aftertaste CHEERS!

Aroma is slightly citrus with a hint of hops and urinal cake. Appears to be a traditional belgian but is more like a ceizen in makeup. Too thin on the palate and flavor is incredibly disappointing. Aftertaste of feet and piss. ew.

The aroma is funky that is like a urinal cake with flowers, yeast, and malt. The appearance is golden with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall this is not a very good beer for an avery.

Enjoyed on the 4th of July. Golden and carbonated with a big white head. Funk is apparent in the aroma. There is a touch of barnyard and a light floral touch. Wet hay, pepper and sharp fruit also come to mind. The flavor is quite peppery with just a hint of fruit (fig is believable). I would also say that the funk is present as are some barn like qualities (I don’t know how else to describe it). Light body, semi-dry finish. Certainly not my favorite, but better than I expected.
