Commercial Description:
For 14 wonderful years, we have been creating libations for ourselves in the hope that some others out there would share our eccentric palates and support us. Many thanks to all of you who do! Here is yet another quirky brew: a very dark and different, dry-hopped ale. Style? hard to say, you decide. Just expect massive molasses maltiness, limitless fruits on the nose and an imposing floral & zesty dry-hop finish. Peace to all and follow your dreams!

From a 22oz Bottle. Pours a mostly transparent dark brown color of brazil nut shells, topped by a layer of fizzy tan head. Aroma of mild floral yeast fruits, roasted malt, and a touch of herbal hops. Medium bodied, firm texture with a soft carbonation. Bitter roasted malts immediately assault the palate, accompanied by a hint of smoke. Not much depth in the middle of the palate malt-wise, just a lot of roast. A hint of yeasty spice seems to crop up toward the end, but it gets pummeled by a massive load of astringent hops in the finish. Dry, bitter, astringent finish. Technically sound, but overall I find it to be too busy and muddled; the roasted malt, one-dimensional hop astringency, and yeasty spice don’t form a pleasant marriage.

Nice American strong. A little too sweet for my tastes, but not bad. Seems this style is over hoppy and hot, or extremely sweet and this falls under the latter. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Pour was near perfect. An inviting dark brown with a beautiful 3 finger light tan head. Taste was sweet-molasses and roastiness in the front...sugary and malt notes. NIce semi dry finish with just a tad of hops that peek out. Nice complex brew...a little less sweet and could’ve been close to a 4 with me. Hides the alcohol well.

Dark brown and lightly unclear. Has a light brown head, yellow notes. Dark, sweet aroma, with notes of grass, hay, real nice. Flavor is heavy sweet too. Lots of dark fruit. Texture is oily, full body.

Bottle. A very dark brown beer with a red shine and a big beige head. The aroma is light yeasty, roasted, caramel malt, fruity, hoppy and light alcoholic. The taste is yeasty, light roasted, fruity, sugary and hoppy. Medium body with a sweet dry, light alcoholic finish. Quit interresting and good!

Pours thick, like motor oil in January. Opaque black with a thick tan head with medium legs. Nose of hops and chocolate. This thing look delicious just pouring....tastes of hops and choc but subdued by the body of malts and spices. A bit of alcohol on the taste but just a perfect amount. Smooth mouth and swallow with a wonderful, almost gooey thickness on the way down. This is a wonderful beer. It reminds me of the Collaboration. Will it cellar????

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Pours a beautiful, warm chestnut brown with a tint of red and a dense, beige head leaving some laces. The aroma is rich with sweetish, burned caramel. Quite a full body with about a ton of roasted malt and and again these accents of sweetish, burned caramel. Solid if not exactly overwhelming bitterness. 150807
