Commercial Description:
For 14 wonderful years, we have been creating libations for ourselves in the hope that some others out there would share our eccentric palates and support us. Many thanks to all of you who do! Here is yet another quirky brew: a very dark and different, dry-hopped ale. Style? hard to say, you decide. Just expect massive molasses maltiness, limitless fruits on the nose and an imposing floral & zesty dry-hop finish. Peace to all and follow your dreams!

Dark brown color; creamy head. Nice aroma, not too strong, balanced, perfumy, where some nice hop preveals over the sweet caramel; in a short while the hop increases. Medium thick mouthfeel, quite oily, with strong malt/caramel flavor, some sugars, just balanced by an equally strong hopping. The final is less hop-aromatic than expected, maybe even less long (or is it the caramel to be too much?). But very good indeed (hedonistic).

bomber shared by illini08, thanks. dark brown pour with a khaki head and some decent lasting lace. spicy fruit and molasses aroma leads to a flavor of some roasted notes, rich molasses and caramel, dried fruits and spice. interesting and enjoyable.

This dark brown ale poured with a modest beige head, eliciting an aroma of salt, celery and wood. The flavor is hoppy and malty, but more bitter than sweet, or is it more sweet than bitter? - hard to tell. There is a carbonated mouthfeel, an alcohol bite and a rather harsh peppery finish.

Bottle. Mahogony beer with a tan head. Mlaty, nutty, plum fruitiness in the aroma. Rich complex malts - malt, caramel, nutty, molasses flavor - with decent bitterness backing. LIngering grapefruit hops, plum and caramel/molasses. Fuller bodied. Alcohol present, but in background.

Bottle. High creamy and long lasting brown head. Clear and ark ruby body. Sweet and fruity, raisin - plum, caramel aroma. Burned barley malt flavor with dry and hoppy untertones. Relatively sweet plum rainsin. Low carbonation. Long aftertaste that is a bit hard to describe so I don’t.

Large and puffy white head plopped on top of a deep brown liquid. Definate belgian spiced, yeasty aroma. Bananas, roasted malts, and hard fruits. Creamy, layered texture in the mouth. Dark caramel, toffee, and candy sweet flavor. Becomes rather cloying mid bottle. Overall, not bad, but a little tweaking is needed.

Hard to peg this, no doubt. A bit too much sweet molasses for me. Yet this is fantastically complex. Is it suped up brown ale or porter or Beligan ale? Who cares? It just rocks.

22oz - Aroma of chocolate, caramel, raisin, molasses and piney hops. Pours deep dark brown with a think brown head and great lacing. Flavor is rich with chocolate, piney hops, caramel, earthy hops, brown sugar and finishes with raisin and prune. Palate is sticky and sweet but tart. A unique and tasty brew. One of my favorite Anny brews from Avery.
