Commercial Description:
For 14 wonderful years, we have been creating libations for ourselves in the hope that some others out there would share our eccentric palates and support us. Many thanks to all of you who do! Here is yet another quirky brew: a very dark and different, dry-hopped ale. Style? hard to say, you decide. Just expect massive molasses maltiness, limitless fruits on the nose and an imposing floral & zesty dry-hop finish. Peace to all and follow your dreams!

Pours out a deep brown color with a moderate syrupy head, nice lacing. Mostly earthy aroma with slight hops. Taste is very well balanced with a velvety mouthfeel. Earthy with notes of roasted malt, molasses, dried fruit and slight coffee/chocolate, slight hop bitterness on the finish. Very solid brew

On tap. Poured a dark mix of ruby and brown with an ample off-white head. Solid lacing for most of the glass. The aroma was slight hints of smoke with lots of sugary sweetness and raisin. The flavor was overly sweet and I struggled initially to find much beyond the initial sugary blast. As it opened up, the fruit, molasses and tobacco came out. Sticky, almost cloying mouthfeel. Seemed very young. Try cellaring this one.

Aroma is sweet mocha with a touch of pine from the hops. Pours almost black with a large tan head. Flavor is mostly the coffee sweetness, roastiness, some dried fruit. The hops come in on the backend with a nice piney burst. There is also some metallic notes in the finish. This to me wasnt nearly as complex as many others thought. There was also a touch of alcohol in the finish. Some nice warmth that I feel would be nice during a cold winter.

Pours with a deep brown colored body and a rich khaki long lasting head. Laces the glass from start to finish. The aroma is an intrepid depth of heavily roasted malts and a fearless dose of American hops… a very complex aroma; chocolate, brown sugar, toffee, raisins, dates, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit… a very difficult brew to pick apart. The mouthfeel is creamy and chewy… finishes dry and especially satisfying. Maybe I’d rather sit back and enjoy this beer rather than pick it apart.

Bottle. Pours deep mahogany with a lasting dark beige head. Aroma is a cornucopia of orange, lemon, grass, and candy. Flavor is a symphony of mild malted grapefruit and plumb, followed by hops and grass with a slight white wine; and then, it branches out into molasses and chocolate with coffee as it warms. Full and coating mouthfeel. Fantastic beer. Dopple Bock IPA?

22 oz bomber. Aroma reminds me of walking into an old smoke shop with the aromas of candy, sweet pipe tobbacco, wooden floors. Dark body with red tynt to color with tan head and lacing covering the glass. Sweet candy with some spice to add some bite to flavor. Good fruity candy aftertaste on plate with an alcohol body warming. Good Brew.

22oz bomber. This is quite an interesting style of ale. Pours a very dark brown color with a thick brown head, reminiscent of a porter or stout. Aroma of smoke, marshmallow and chocolate. Flavor is loaded with roasted malt, wood and some darker fruits. Pungent hops punch to it. Slightly metallic finish on the palate that kind of turned me off of this brew. Worth a try.

22oz bottle. Deep dark brown-red with a large rocky light brown head. Some nutty and toasty malt aromatics underneath a heavy metallic citrus and fruity ester character. Caramel, dark alefruit, and choco-roasty bitterness. Prominent hop component, floral and vegetal. Conflicted finish with residual hop bitterness, alefruit, and a dusty patina. Mouthfeel is a heavy medium, somewhat sticky.
