Commercial Description:
For 14 wonderful years, we have been creating libations for ourselves in the hope that some others out there would share our eccentric palates and support us. Many thanks to all of you who do! Here is yet another quirky brew: a very dark and different, dry-hopped ale. Style? hard to say, you decide. Just expect massive molasses maltiness, limitless fruits on the nose and an imposing floral & zesty dry-hop finish. Peace to all and follow your dreams!

22 oz. bottle. Pours a deep dark brown with a large, light tan head that left very nice curtains of lace all the way to the bottom of the glass. Aroma is malt, caramel, molasses, citrus and plums. The flavor was a bit less satisfying for me than the aroma with malt, caramel, molasses, alcohol, and plums all present. The finish, which was dry and bitter, also tasted a bit smokey. A bit rough around the edges.

Draft @ NYC Gingerman - Deep reddish brown, creamy tan head (great lacing). The aromas were complex with notes of melon, chocolate mint, and brown sugar. Further warming brought soft co-mingled notes of pine, florals, and candied dark fruits. Toasty flavors of caramel, melon, fig, and raisin balance on a piney hop wave. Full bodied, soft carbonation, bittersweet finish. Love to see creative brewing, and this one certainly hits that mark. Nicely done. Happy 14th Avery!

22 oz bottle shared with padrefan. What a crazy beer. We were sitting there trying to figure out what flavors were NOT in this beer. Chocolate for sure. Anise, molassas, caramel, clove. Strange, but actually pretty good.

This brew pours a sassy dark, brown colour with a vanilla coloured head. FUll of nutty aromas but not sweet. roasted nuts and tree bark. milk chocolate and cajun seasoning, tobacco and cigars in the taste. A bright lively mouthfeel and very tastey. Not too rich, which i liked :)

Bomber. Pours very, very dark reddish brown with dense tan head. The aroma is very fruity-- tons of candied pineapple, some grapefruit, cherry, lime, and papaya. There are also milder scents of raisin and green wood. The flavor is very piney at first, and an assertive, darker woodiness follows quickly. The initial edge wears off soon and a maltiness reminiscent of molasses and ultra-bitter chocolate moves through the middle of the mouth. Some fruitiness pops out here and there, usually in the form of pineapple or grapefruit. The finish is somewhat dry and woody with a peanut-shell tone to it. Dry nuttiness lingers in the aftertaste. Pretty good brew.

Black pour, light tan head, moderate head with good lacing and retention. Aroma has an initially pronounced hoppy nose very similar to Alpha King, but also has lots of the usual dark malt notes: coffee, roast, chocolate, caramel, hint of darker fruit. Medium to light bodied, watery texture. Alcohol is in the flavor and finish, takes away from the flavor. Too hot and too light for everything it’s trying to display. Still enjoyable.

i’ve had this just about every way. tap and cask, supposedly. now a bottle. dark brown black body with a thick foamy yellowish head. aroma is spicy yeast with a strong maple syrup note. syrupy tangy sweetness that has an herbal balance. bread like flavors in this too. light banana tang lingers in the finish. a bit of cocoa here somewhere. the herbal hop flavor comes through more later in this. a bit hot, this should be a different beer in a few months.
