22 oz bottle. Pours clear amber with a beige sticky head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma of pine resin, floral hops, sweet citrus and a bit of caramel. The bitterness hits you right away and carries through for a long finish, the sweet malt is always there lingering in the background, just a light alcohol taste. Medium body with average carbonation and a syrupy mouth feel. They really hit the mark with the aroma hops in this one, everything else about it is solid too.

Bomber from Binny’s Beverage Depot in Orland Park, Illinois: This poured a clear copper body with a tall, dirty egg-shell head that pasted some spotty lace on the glass. The aroma wasfull of hoppy scents - resinous pine, grapefruit zest, unripe tangerines... Occassionally, some light malty sweetness oozed out. The flavor has just enough of a grainy sweetness to serve as a backbone to the strong hop flavors and bitterness. The finish was dry and had a prolonged piney bite. Very nice.

I had this from draft. Great IPA. The IBU’s must be high, because the finish is very bitter. The hops have a pine/grassy and citrus flavors. The color is a deep gold color with a nice head that lasts a long time. Great alcohol balance.

Bomber I think Mar brought to Andrew’s tasting. Pours ornage with a tan ring. Nose is full of pine. Taste is sweet, piney, very nice overall.

22 oz. bomber, $6.99. Fell in love at first sip. I think this is about as good as it gets for the double IPA’s. Alcohol and malt take the back seat on this one. 8.5% alcohol is just perfect.Hops are piney, citrusy, resiny and"dank". I would pick up a few, cause they won’t last !

Nice soapy white head rests above a golden peach body. A decent amount of lacing sticks defiantly to the inside of the glass. Aroma is resinous hops and bright citrus...not a ton of malt in the nose. Aroma does possess more honey than the aroma would indicate. This one clings nicely to the palate, leaving a syrupy click of hops behind. Not bad.

Pine, honey and some sourdough notes on the nose. This is a dense-looking deep amber beer with a soapy, lacy head. Hop-heads will like the intensely-bitter, herbal, lemon and briny hops. Tangy cereal finish is bittering and long. There aren’t too many beers I find too bitter, but this is one. It’s an exercise in extremity and not in balance, but the imbalance is saved somewhat by the buttery, slick palate. As always, a great label from Avery.

Bottle. Copper pour with a dense, frothy, rocky tan head. Pretty lacing all over the glass. Aroma is citrusy hops, grapefruit juice, earthy hops, pine needles, light melon, hint of pear, caramel, sweet malt, and herbal notes. Taste is rich a luscious hops. Lots of grapefruit and pine with herbal notes, earthy notes, orange peel, chewy caramel, sweet malt and fruit. Body is thick and resinous. Very slick with a dense, creamy carbonation. Slight warmth as well. Ends with more pine and grapefruit, caramel, melon, herbal flavors, and earthy notes. Very tasty! If the ABV were toned down a bit, this would make a great session beer.
