2009 release, sampled at the brewery during GABF week.Fruity, winey, funky, tart aroma, plenty of white grape and brett character, lightly sweet with notes of melon, straw and wood. Clear rosy-golden color with a lasting, fine head. Flavor is really showing the same blend as the aroma -- sweet, bitter, tart, winey and woody, with plenty of funky, farmy character, hay, spicy bitterness, prominent alcohol and Cabernet Sauvignon. Tannic, dry mouthfeel, warming and full-bodied. Pretty tasty!

Avery tasting room 2009 GABF. Light gold hazy. Super bretty with over the top alcohol. Cannot taste the cab in this beer. Salvation bretted up-good beer.

Tap at Avery, GABF week ’09.
Pours a lively cheddar orange with a cedar cherry and oak nose. Flavor is springy, zesty lemon with a delicate woodsy finish. Thick on the tongue. Awesome!

Draft at Avery during gabf week. The thing that I like about this beer is the fact that it’s sour without being overbearing. A sour beer for those that love strong ales. Very good.

Draught at Avery. Pours hazy yellow with a small, frothy, off-white head somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, straw, toasted grain), average hop (flowers), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard) with notes of plum, pear, wine, and wood. Full bodied, mineral texture, average carbonation, and a sour finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and sourness.

On tap at Avery poured a hazy gold with a lingering off white head. Aromas of barnyard, lemon, sour apple and light spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a lightly tart finish. Flavors of barnyard, light leather, citrus, sour apple and a hint of spice with a crisp lightly dry tart finish.
