Smells fruity, malty and tons of floral and piney hops. Tastes strong with rich hops and sweet malts. Hints of fruit, gourmet bread, honey, pine, grass, and flowers balance out into an intensely flavorful brew. Plenty of body that finishes semi dry and leaving you wanting another drink. Warms you up all the way down. Excellent beer. Furseth (1333), Kungälv, Sweden

Nose is nicely balanced with fresh citrus, sugar, tea-malt, and alcohol. Flavor is even better, so balanced with the fresh fruity hop, the malt, and the slight alcohol. Palate is a little salty, not so sticky though. Overall, supremely drinkable barley wine with a lot to offer. Kind of Old Horizontal-lite. Oink!

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 31, 2008 (Bomber at home on October 31, 2008) Very light-colored for a barley wine... light orange-amber color, and carbonation... big bubbles! Medium to small off-white head. Very clear. Very nice appearance. Great, hoppy aroma, much like an imperial IPA. Very syrupy on the tongue - and you can tell it’s the alcohol as it sloshes around the toungue. Pretty hoppy, and a bit spicy on the tip of the tongue. Goes down easy, relatively thin. A conservative, yet hoppy barley wine. Something’s making me crave more hops... Hmmm... Not reallly what I consider a Barleywine, but absolutely delicious medium-bodied hoppy beer! I’m not sure what it should be classified as, but who cares...just sit back and enjoy! Sometimes beers don’t fit into neat classifications, which is a good thing in my book! Great job Adam! tarjei (1753), Bryne, Norway

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 28, 2008 Poured dark amber, or light ruby. The head was thick and off-white and produced nice lacing. The aroma was hoppy with pine and floral coming through strong along with thinner citrus, caramel, toffee and nuts. The flavor was pine and floral hops over citrus and toffee. Nice mouthfeel with a clean finish. I don’t know if this is a IIPA an ASA or a BW and I don’t really care. I like it. A lot. Good value for $5. keepersj12 (807), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 26, 2008 The aroma hits you hard. Very wine like and fruity. Pours a cloudy amber with a thin head. Flavor is more complex. Malty sweetness followed by a hard hitting hop aftertaste. Flavor lingers. Real good.
