Commercial Description:
This dangerously drinkable garnet beauty is a hop lover's delight. The intense dry-hop nose and the alcohol content are perfectly balanced for a caramel candy-like malt finish. This is a serious beer for serious beer afficionados and it only gets better with age. Cellarable for 3 years.

Pound for pound one of the best barleywines on the market. That is if you like your barleywines bending the line between IIPA and barleywine. This is just a tad bit on the bigger, aggresive hoppy side for the style, but still having siad that it is delicious. Lots of lighter fruits in this one, grapefruit, peach and tangerine, but has some nice candied sugar sweetness as well, some heat from the alcohol, but overall pretty well balanced, you feel it more than you can taste it.

Bottled. A clear amber beer with a big and persistent creamy beige head. The aroma is very hoppy, with notes of grapefruit and pine but also some caramel and alcohol. The flavour is again very hoppy as you can imagine, not totally balanced, nor unpleasant. The alcohol is felt, but it’s not the biggest problem, more than these 100 IBUs IIPAs and BWs with American hops are at a long distance a little bit filling to give them higher ratings. Near full body, lively carbonation, long finish with elevated bitterness. Not exceptional, but good.

Bottle, bought @ Kolding Vinhandel.
Pours a depp, lightly hazy red-golden. A great, creamy beige head that leaves okay lacing. Aroma is very hoppy, lots of grapefruit, grass, vanilla and malty caramel. Medium carbonation, super oily. Lovely sweet with lots of caramel and a great hoppy flavour. Not that bitter, but still enough bite (with the alcohol) to balance the sweetness nicely. A chewy biscuity feel to it.

22 oz bomber. The appearance here is a really nice clear ruby copper color topped with a thick fluffy off-white head. Aroma is quite hoppy with some fruits and a much less noticeable malty note. Big hoppy flavor, tangy, sweet caramel malts, warming and finishes with some candy-like grapefruit hops. Sour hoppy aftertaste. Overall I found this to be an excellent beer.

Poured a red-brown color with a medium head from a 22oz bottle. The aroma was quiet hoppy for a barleywine. Flavor was initially malty with a very nice a strong hop finish. This barleywine was very different from most I have had because of it smoothness and strong hop characters. A very good and balanced barleywine.

Aroma was fruity and hoppy. Pours copper with sort of an off-white head. Flavor was both malty and hoppy with a definite bitterness. Good barleywine.

Unlike many barleywines I’ve tried before...really delicate and easy drinking. Seemed even lower than 9.2% at first impression. Would def. drink again...22 oz. portion is nice, too...

22 oz bomber purchased at Spirits RB. Pours with one of the largest heads I have ever seen on a BW. Clear deep reddis, amber with a HUGE frothy slightly off white head that leaves tons and tons of lace. Very hop heavy aroma with tons if citrus shining through, subtle notes of caramel, toffee, white grapes, and grass. Medium bodied that is slightly syrupy and average carbonation with only very slight alcohol warming. Malts take over in the flavor and kick the hops to the backseat, caramel, toffee, biscuit, grass and citrus rind. I had this at a blind tasting and glad that I am getting to sit here with ten times the amount to drink all by myself.
