Nose is funky pine/citrus hops. The finish is better than the initial taste - only the faintest biscuit malt backing, but a nice bitter grapefruit hoppiness that lingers. Nose is heavily citrus, orange peel, lemon/lime, and pine. Robust hop flavor, less piney and now grapefruit citrus tang coupled with some doughiness. Bitter finish which is a must to be good in this style. Citrus, pine, citrus 3.75 davidajensen (31), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 5, 2009 This is a bit too dry to be an easy drinking session beer. Consumed with food is probably the best way to go.
This beer is well crafted. I imagine it tastes exactly like the brewer wanted it to taste. It isn’t my favorite beer, but I appreciate the quality.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 3, 2009 Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass. Pour produced a honey-colored body, topped by a small, white head which had some decent lacing. A pleasant citrus/pine aroma is to be had from this IPA. Medium mouthfeel, with light, crisp carbonation. Overall flavor profile is bitter and dry, typical of the style. The palate is a bit woody, with a slight sweetness eking through. This is a solid IPA, which would be enjoyed by all lovers of hops. OzarkElmo (117), Poplar Bluff, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 25, 2009 Updated: Jun 3, 2009From Bottle into Tulip. Poured hazy golden yellow with medium head which mostly diminishes but lingers with the lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine. Hoppy taste and to me quite dry and bitter, especially in the finish. But that is what they tell you to expect. Overal a good, well above-average American IPA - and a map to boot - Cheers! Adam77 (407), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 22, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a light, clear copper with a two finger white head that hangs around for awhile and little lacing. Not a strong aroma, but there is some citrus hops and pine, plus some malt in the back. The taste very citrusy with a lot of hop flavor, but also a lot of bread and biscuit taste from the malt and some hints of fruit present. Easy to enjoy with a bold flavor. Taste has a nice hop bite upfront but well balanced by the malt presence. Light texture, easy drinking. Overall, considering this bottle was about a year old....i was impressed.
