Nejhleader (924), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 27, 2009 has a sweet hop aroma, taste is nice and hoppy with a bit of citrus fruit mixed in with the hops, bitter citrus aftertaste. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Feb 19, 2009 12oz bottle. light haze, bright golden color, fluffy white head. Sweet aroma of ripened grapefruit. Is this a breakfast beer? flavor of rich grapefruit. Tastes like a fruit wedge! This beer is awesome. Decent malt foundation, lots of American hops. very hoppy, very balanced. How do you do that? This is delicious. wcampbell (572), Central, South Carolina, USA Feb 18, 2009 Super drinkable IPA. Bitter grapefruit and piney hops with some caramel malt presence. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Full flavored, no water. Lingering bitterness. jwager (10), Cary, Illinois, USA Feb 13, 2009 This is a great ipa. I immediately liked the flavor and I found the bitterness smooth and not overpowering. When I taste a beer I want to taste it and this one delivers. There is a meat to this balanced beer! ucfknightscott (46), Casselberry, Florida, USA Feb 11, 2009 Pours golden with a medium white head. Aroma is very floral, but not overwhelming. Tastes very balanced, hoppy but with enough malt backbone to make it a very smooth IPA. Very easy to drink and a great session beer. A solid beer from Avery. BiddleBrau (303), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Feb 11, 2009 Pours golden with thin head that left some lacing. Big citrus and pine aroma. Hop flavor most prominent but not overly bitter. Hop flavor lingers. Medium body . Pawola22 (676), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Feb 9, 2009 On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours an orange body with just a slight haze. Big and thick, cloud-like looking white head that dissipates slowly and remains very lacy. I keep saying this, but the Flying Saucer can make any beer look delectable. Aroma of mild floral and straw hops. Citrusy and semi-sweet malted. Flavor is really nice. Soft and medium palate with a hay like, drying finish. Some light caramels and a big grassy, citrus hop burst throughout. Not very complex, but really nice and abundant hoppiness throughout. Lingers for quite a long time with a clean feel to it. Overall, nothing overwhelming at all, but a very nice hop flavor from beginning to end. Great balance and very much enjoyed. Well done. Rynoplasty (500), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Feb 8, 2009 Pours hazy golden brown with a fairly thin white head. Aroma is citrusy grapefruit like hops with a bready malt background. Taste is nice and rounded with a malty bitter flavor. Not bad.
