dsagoas (9), , Washington, USA does not count Dec 11, 2008 Hoppy pine and citrus aroma. Lacking much of a head, but still a nice straw color, but a slight chill haze. The flavor is sharply, but not unpleasantly, bitter. The finish is a little sweet to help smooth that bitterness out. Hops are piney, maybe a bit citrusy. Bitterness lingers. Overall, a solid American IPA, but I dont think it stands out. biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Dec 7, 2008 Tremendous IPA. V picked this up for me in a mix-six from World Market. This is a brewery that I am going to have to catch up on, their stuff is really good. stchloe (473), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 3, 2008 A great brewery, and a solid beer. Bitter, well rounded hop. Ends with a dry resin feel/taste. Trev (850), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Nov 21, 2008 pours a deep gold colour with a large foamy head.
Aroma is caramel and almost cakey sweet malts, citrus, some pine tones. Flavour is crisp malt, grapefruity citrus but more pine hop in the flavour for me. Finishes slightly dry bitter. Very nice. onecrazybreeze (21), , Colorado, USA Nov 20, 2008 On top at the Pearl Street Pub. Pours a darker orange. Smells mainly piney and hoppy. Tastes of columbus hops mostly, very piney. A solid IPA. thornecb (1736), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Nov 19, 2008 Pours amber into a shaker. Off-white head with excellent retention leaves slight sheets as it recedes to coat surface. Pine and resin aromas. Crisp and well-balanced. Lasting pine and resin finish. Nice one. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Nov 19, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Yes, hops and citrus. Citrus on the flavor, and awesomeness. Much awesome hops. Excellent IPA. machfive55 (218), Columbia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 29, 2008 Poured a nice orange with little head yet good carbonation. I think we need some color classes here at ratebeer as this beer is described as pale yellow to amber...that’s a huge range. Anyhow, the aroma was floral and citrus hop notes with dominant citrus. The flavor was just awesome all hopes with some pretty outrageous grapefruit notes. There is just a slight balance of malt which makes this beer great, but it is mostly hops as they kinda smack the malt down and say...not in my house beotch. The hops are just all over the place throughout this beer but there is never a puckering bitterness that leaves you with old man face...just smooth for an IPA. A great beer that deserves an even higher rating.
