BelgianBeerGal (1273), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jun 19, 2008 Draught. HUGE hoppy aroma, spruce and pine. That carried into the flavour, but a little lighter. The hop tastes were more citrus hops and easy to drink. Pretty nice lacing. Well balanced IPA. ReademNwheat (174), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 19, 2008 Great representation of the IPA style. citrusy hops, caramel maltyness. great drinkability. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA Jun 16, 2008 Not bad. Solid and exactly to the demands of the IPA style. As I drink more beer, I believe less and less in hop bombs and more in balance. This is not a hop bomb, but it is quite good. hoplover (166), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Jun 15, 2008 Updated: Aug 29, 2008Here is a solid American IPA. Pours a very clear pale color with a white head that sticks around for the finally. Lots of citrus notes. Grapefruit it seems. Very floral in the nose. Just the right bitterness that lingers well. Lots of hop pungency. This is definately one of the better IPAs Iv’e had. For an American IPA this one I will grab for again and again. Thank you Avery! The Lord bless the hop harvest. KnN (712), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA Jun 14, 2008 On Tap at the Frisco Grille in Columbia, Maryland. Nice cloudy orange color with a short lived small head. Aroma is pure grapefruit/citrus hops and that’s what is in the flavor profile as well, but there’s a nice malt backbone to keep everything together. very nice IPA. westknife (17), USA Jun 12, 2008 It doesn’t take a whole lot to make up a good IPA. Just gotta be well-balanced, tasty, and with some nice bite to it. Example: Avery IPA BeerBaron617 (306), Novi, Michigan, USA Jun 12, 2008 My first brew from Avery, and quite a tasty one at that! It has the trademark qualitys of a fine IPA, Hoppy, citrusy, but a little smokeyness on the finish which made it superb. Had this in the bottle(poured into a glass of course) at the Box bar in Plymouth, MI cbeers21 (563), Miami, Florida, USA Jun 12, 2008 Barnyard pine and citrus highlight the aroma. Subtles hops on the palate and a musty slight thinning funkiness. Quiet medicinal/chemical fruitiness. not bad
