MaltOMeal (642), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Jun 1, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a clear, faded yellow with off-white head. Smell is of dirty socks. Taste is just not right. Maybe the malt is more than it should be. Mouthfeel was bitter at the finish. keepersj12 (774), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA May 29, 2008 A wonderful aroma of citrus and pine hits you. The flavor is a bit more subdued. Not as much hop as the aroma might indicate. Very nice dry finish. Another winner from Avery. boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA May 28, 2008 Bottle... Poured pale orange with a white head. Aroma of leafy hops. High carbonation, with flavors of hops dominating over the malt that is there, a great bitterness at the finish. ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA May 26, 2008 Amber pour, off white fluffy head and some spotty lacing. Citrus hops on the nose. Slightly thin bodied with some decent hops flavoring, however I was hoping for some more maltiness VitaminR (421), Colorado, USA May 20, 2008 Sweet citrus, honey pine nose. Crystal clear amber color, frothy long-lasting head. Malty toffee sweetness, huge complex hop flavor and aroma balancing it out. Good carbonation, medium body/mouth feel, smooth finish with a a nice subtle alcohol presence. A solid and robust IPA, awesome example of the style. TeamTrappist (363), jericho, New York, USA May 18, 2008 Updated: Aug 16, 2009Draft pour. Light amber color, with a 2 inch foamy head. Nose was yeasty and hoppy, with a distinct grapefruit scent. Taste was fairly hoppy but had a hint of dishwater flavor to it. Some things were right with this beer, but not everything. It finished with a decently bitter flavor. AR (417), Georgia, USA May 17, 2008 This is a sweet IPA with a medium to heavy mouthfeel and a nice hop flavoring. Good hop aroma and a strong, but not overwhelming bitterness. sleepylopes (313), New York, USA May 17, 2008 nice and dry with a good ballance of bitter hop as well as the bright citrus notes from a fressher hop infusion. nice bit of malt to hold the hops.
