Commercial Description:
In the 1700's one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Sweet citrus, honey pine nose. Crystal clear amber color, frothy long-lasting head. Malty toffee sweetness, huge complex hop flavor and aroma balancing it out. Good carbonation, medium body/mouth feel, smooth finish with a a nice subtle alcohol presence. A solid and robust IPA, awesome example of the style.

Draft pour. Light amber color, with a 2 inch foamy head. Nose was yeasty and hoppy, with a distinct grapefruit scent. Taste was fairly hoppy but had a hint of dishwater flavor to it. Some things were right with this beer, but not everything. It finished with a decently bitter flavor.

This is a sweet IPA with a medium to heavy mouthfeel and a nice hop flavoring. Good hop aroma and a strong, but not overwhelming bitterness.

Hoppy nose, very dry mouthfeel. Carbonation is present, but not lively. Good floral flavor, and a dry bitter finish. Good malt flavor as the backbone. Pretty solid IPA.

Bottle. Hazy gold color with medium head. Light floral aroma with tea notes. The taste was medium sweet with malty flavors. Light floral hop flavors give way to tea notes as it warms. Medium bitterness in the finish.

Really good ipa. Only part that disappointed was the small aroma. Light floral hop nose. Golden, with a small head. Nicely balanced, the low alcohol is obvious. Floral hops, light bitter back end.

Bottle, bought @ Tønden, Haslev.
Pours deep, hazy orange with a fine, creamy white head. Great duration. Aroma is hoppy, quite citric with notes of oranges and apples. A little bit of pine as well. Fine, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is pleasantly smooth, powerfully hoppy, but not too dry. Some caramel in the background and a good bitter aftertaste. Nice IPA.
