Snojerk321 (1914), San Diego, California, USA Mar 11, 2008 12oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Poured a crystal clear golden yellow with a light orange glow. Decent off white head and good lacing were present. Lots of grapefruit and pine on the nose. This brew would need a little bump up in Alc% for me to give it a great rating. yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 10, 2008 Bottle, 12oz. Pours a quite clear, nice golden body with a dense, off-white head. Balanced nose, surprising me a bit, as I expected it to be more on the hoppy side. There’s sure piney hops in it, but there’s also malts enough to balance it. The flavor is a lovely blend of piney and citrusy hops giving it a nice bitterness, and a malty sweetness, leading to a long, very bitter finish with pine and citrus, as well as a malty sweetness to balance it slightly. Yet another nice one from Avery. (080215) aru (105), Smørum, Denmark Mar 9, 2008 Dark orange color with medium head. A true American IPA with heavy hops. The finer details are however missing. rodgers004 (26), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA Mar 7, 2008 Big head pour on a classic style IPA. Hops were roust, a good ipa, but not much other notes. oreogobbler (217), Austin, Texas, USA Mar 6, 2008 I rated this beer after rating a bunch of really bad beers. I may have to come back and re-rate it one day, because I’m sure I gave it a few extra points for not sucking as bad as the last beers I drank. Sweet citrus aroma. Grapefruit, honey, lemon zest, wonderful hops. Clear elegant orange, tiny patchy head. Bold grapefruit flavor, followed by a pleasant bitter mouth feel, with a smooth dry hop finish. Palate is nice and smooth with just the right dryness for an IPA. SoBloHero (56), Buffalo, New York, USA Mar 5, 2008 One ofm y favorite IPA’s. Not too overly hoppy, but definately flavorfull. The color of the beer is pleasant and the taste is sophisticated as well. Beer2000 (1775), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 3, 2008 355 ml bottle. Dim orange body with a medium white head. Aroma is fruity hops, peaches and grapefruit. Flavor is sweet, fruity, malt, grapefruit and peaches. Quite nice. patty26 (95), New York, New York, USA Mar 2, 2008 Pours a pale orange color with a full frothy head that lasts the whole time and leads to some serious lacing. Strong hoppy grapefruit/citrus aroma and a refreshing hoppy flavor. A very tasty IPA.
