Aroma of dry bitter hops with minimal floral or citrus notes. Taste is also dominated by some dry bitter hops with some light caramel malt notes. Medium body with good carbonation. Not bad overall and pretty straight forward – I would have preferred more citrus notes and some floral notes but still enjoyable nonetheless. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 16, 2008 Clear almost pilsner yellow with a touch of orange and has a fine white head. Aroma of fruits (citrus), hops and flowers. A bit of yeasty notes (wheat). Softly carbonated with a smooth feel. Fine balance between the powerfull hops and sweet malts. Fine lacings on the side of the glass. Nice bitter hoppy (Sharp & soapy) finish that is lasting. Great IPA!

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Strong citrus / grapefruit aroma. Almost a bit of a mango hit. Orange / amber, translucent color. The palate is bright, bubbly, carbonated. Strong mix of a hop / malt flavor. Very present up-front flavor with only a hoppy citrus tinge of an aftertaste. Strong, clean IPA perfect for an outside drink.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 11, 2008 12oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Poured a crystal clear golden yellow with a light orange glow. Decent off white head and good lacing were present. Lots of grapefruit and pine on the nose. This brew would need a little bump up in Alc% for me to give it a great rating. yngwie (4910), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Bottle, 12oz. Pours a quite clear, nice golden body with a dense, off-white head. Balanced nose, surprising me a bit, as I expected it to be more on the hoppy side. There’s sure piney hops in it, but there’s also malts enough to balance it. The flavor is a lovely blend of piney and citrusy hops giving it a nice bitterness, and a malty sweetness, leading to a long, very bitter finish with pine and citrus, as well as a malty sweetness to balance it slightly. Yet another nice one from Avery. (080215) aru (105), Smørum, Denmark
