| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 21, 2007 I didn’t like this one too much.
Quite a bit lighter than most of the other IPAs.
Smelled somewhat hoppy, but not quite the presence I was hoping for.
Hmm... there is a hint of hops in this but it tastes kind of grainy to me.
Didn’t get the load of hops that most others did. i tasted more malt than anything. Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 19, 2007 Thanks to my parents who brought it all the way from Clearwater Fl. Wow! Beautiful golden color with a long white head. Aroma of citrus, and the taste of beautiful hops dancing in your mouth. Wegro (220), Fresno, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 15, 2007 Pours a totally clear bright gold color. Head leaves tons of lacing all over the glass. Smells of fresh hops, and the flavor follows suit. Very fresh and crisp. Not overly thick or sweet, very nicely hopped. Has some honey and nuts in there too. Only complaint is the finish isn’t quite as bitter as it could be. Good stuff though! mmmbeer (744), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2007 12 oz bottle poured into tulip- poured transparent golden yellow gold, light carbonation, nice bubbly lacing head. Aroma of heavy floral, appealing. Hits the mouth with a thin defined body, hops from start to finish- which are not overpowering, notes of sweetness from start to finish. Nice change of pace IPA- not a steamroller! walter (359), Staunton, Virginia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 13, 2007 Draft, Baja Bean, Staunton VA. Bright gold with white head, a bit light compared to a lot of IPAs, but very pretty. Really fresh hops in the nose, mostly orange and lemon citrus, with some herbal notes in the background. Flavor is again a hop fiesta, really fresh and juicy, over a nicely sweet light malt. Medium hops bitterness throughout balances everything nicely. Full and creamy, with a citrusy aftertaste. This was just delightful, really nicely done! Sanchex (223), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 10, 2007 My first non-extreme Avery beer and it doesn’t disappoint. Very well balanced with an apricot aroma with mild orange peel undertones. Flavor is of apricot, marmalade, , citrusy hops, and mellow sweet malt. Finish is a little on the sweet side. Cheers! | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2007 Bottle. Poured a cloudy, deep gold with a thick head. Smelled extremely funky with a hoppiness. Aroma was not good. Tasted of citrus and grass; not very bitter. I ranked it last in a test against Dogfish Head 60 Minute (1st), Harpoon (2d), and Goose Island (3rd).
