Commercial Description:
In the 1700's one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

A murky golden color in the glass. This leaves plenty of lacing on the side of the glass. Smell is bittering hops. Taste is absolutely wonderful! Wonderful bitter hop taste. Plenty of juicy hop flavor and bitterness to balance it out. This is a very well done IPA. Among the best. Crisp and refreshing, definitely won’t be the last that I have.

On draft at the Saucer. Has a deep copper body with a white head. Aroma is of citrus and pine. Resinous hop flavor with some malty, toasty backdrop. Finishes dry with a bitter note.

pours a light golden yellow in color with a nice two finger frothy head toning down to a thin white layer on the surface and lighter carbination. smell is sweet hops, lemon, some pines, grapefruit, and another sweet fruit i cant quite pin down. mouth feel is medium and the taste is more hops then the smell leads on with grapefruit, citrus, and that mystery fruit that may be apricot. has some sweetness with caramel and is a good "session" beer with a nice hops flavor that is not too much and just the right amount of malt and bitterness to go with it.

Bottle nice mild pine notes , with a bit of citrus with mild straw malts.Light yellow color with a nice lasting moderate white head. Nicely done IPA not as malty as I would like nor quite as hoppy as it could be but nice and drinkable. I would consider it to be a nice session beer.

Straw yellow with fruity, citrus, hops, and lemon flavor brings the beer into the wide open. Has some carbonation. The taste is citrusy, hoppy and a bitter mouth feel. The finish last a minute or two and is very refreshing.

I really like the label! Pours a nice orange yellow color with a foamy off white head. Smells of citrus and hops. Tastes of pine and flowers. Pretty good IPA but has a bit of a harsh mouthfeel.

Bottle. Pours golden, thin white head with lacing. Sticky floral and citrus fruit aroma - scent of fresh flowers, grapefruit, lemon, pineapple and honey. Flavor is full, round doughy malt middle, with light citrus-like bitterness - lychee, lemon peel - around the edges. Light piney bitterness in the aftertaste.
