Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Jun 22, 2007 Having heard nothing about this beer prior to purchasing it, I was pleasantly surprised. It pours a deep gold with a large, dense, pillowy, off-white head that takes it’s sweet time in diminishing. The aroma is citrus, pine and flowers. The palate is medium-bodied with a bitter finish that wicks all moisture from the tongue. The flavor is sweet caramel malts up front with a strong floral, pine and citrus hop backing. This is a tasty IPA with a nice lingering finish. chadzter (94), huntsville, Alabama, USA Jun 21, 2007 Bottle. Slightly hazy, pale amber with a creamy, off-white head. Very floral hops aroma. Little sweet, but mostly a hop flavor. But never excessively bitter. Duster72 (117), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA Jun 20, 2007 Pours a slightly cloudy orangey amber with a one finger off white head. Aroma is primarily citrus with some pine definitely in the mix. Taste is very pleasant but mild citrus hops with some pine. Little resin. Rather thin and easy to drink. A very pleasant IPA that does a nice job of balancing the bitterness. Very sessionable IPA. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jun 18, 2007 Huge hops for a regular IPA. Definite citrus tartness both aroma and flavor. Pretty much all that is going on here is this. A hop heads delight fo sho! HOPSHUNTER (376), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 15, 2007 Bottled. BIG GRAPEFRUIT! Poured a deep golden with a large white head. Seriously all I could taste was grapefruit luckily, I like grapefruit. Good beer definitely not my favorite IPA very one-dimensional. darn1207 (529), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jun 14, 2007 pours light golden, big head, grapefruit smell, touch of malt then hoppy with long spicy finish trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA Jun 10, 2007 Okay, much better after the Redpoint. Golden pour with good carbonation and a big white head. Hops abound in the nose, grapefruit, orange, pine, but without resin. Smooth, yet bitter, taste with more pine and grapefruit. Some grassiness and malt in the finish. A true IPA that isn’t an Imperial with the wrong label. Excellent beer. nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jun 10, 2007 Updated: Sep 29, 2008Bottle. Clear gold with a huge, over-carbonated head that lasts with good foamy lace. Aroma is grapefruit and pine-grassy hops. Flavor is good balance of sweet malt and citrus hops; gets increasingly hoppier and ends with a nutty-cocoa and resin-crisp aftertaste. Smooth, dryish and easy, with surprisingly little tingle for all the hops and carbonation. Nice, widely available AIPA.
