Commercial Description:
In the 1700's one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

This is one of the best IPA’s I have ever had. It has notes of bitterness and sweetness but yet it caries a crisp and refreshing flavor though the finish!

Sweet, fruity hop aroma. Hops are a little subdued. Cloudy orange body with small, off-white head that is mostly diminishing. Excellent lace began to form on the sides of the glass before the first sip. Piney, peppery hop flavor that is not as sweet as the aroma suggested. Actually could use most malt sweetness for better balance. Becomes a litle more balanced at mid glass as it warms. Some sweeter notes prevail, even reminiscent of fruit loops? A good IPA, but it leaves me wanting something more.

pours a nice copper with a two finger head that fades fast. aroma is quite citrusy, a bit of pine. mouthfeel is a little thin, but has the resiny feel i like. nice strong bitterness at the end. solid ipa, but something about it just doesn’t do it for me at the moment.

Clear orange of color with a cloude beige head. A nice aroma of pines, raw malt, grape, sweet notes and hops. A nice flavor of grape and hops, notes of malt.

this is a hopheads ipa. grapefruit citrus and nice malt balance. good slidey bun type body and nice full carbonation.woodsy pine needles and a touch of floral hidden in the malt. alcohol is perfect - as is the bitterness which lingers until you sip again. we americans don’t want everything, we want it all. why wonder about a mystery when the story reveals itself in an instant. thanx avery!

Poured from bottle. Hop aroma, as expected. Light amber, thin head, lacing. Hops dominate flavor with grapefruit in the aftertaste. Hop flavor not too overwhelming. Finished nicely. Very satisfying beer.

Sampled at flying saucer. A nice golden ale that has a big nose full of grass and hops. This IPA was a little on the mild side for me I thought. I’m not sure if I just sampled too many beers before this one, maybe I should try again.

Bottle. 12 fl. oz. Clear golden orange color with thick, fluffy, white head. Strong grapefruit aroma. Nicely balanced palate. Short sweet flavor quickly followed by a big dry, bitter finish. Solid IPA.
