Pours a crystal clear golden color with a finger of white creamy head that dissolves into a fine layer around the glass. The Aroma has piney/grassy hops and some grapefruit. The flavor has a biting piney bitterness upfront with caramel malt down the stretch and ends up with a sweet bitterness. Its a medium bodied beer that a lightly carbonated. Its a nice change of pace from the typical NW citrus hop bombs but that doesn’t mean I’d reach for it every time I saw it. WesKBob (321), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Pours a cloudy golden orange color. Thin white head. Aromia is grapefruit and pine. Flavor leans heavily toward the bitter hops. Just a hint of caramel malt and peppery spice. Mouthfeel is a little on the watery side. Bitter hop finish. In this IPA, the hops seem a bit "forced," overpowering rather than being complimented by the other flavors. A decent IPA, and a good session beer.
