Eructoblaster (1477), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jun 8, 2009 Bottle - Mondial de la Bière, Montréal. Limpid golden body with average carbonation and a fair white foamy head. Enjoyable malty/hoppy aroma with floral and fruity hints. Taste is well balanced and carries piney and herbal notes. Ends with a long bitter finish. Good IPA. shawnm213 (884), South Bend, Indiana, USA Jun 7, 2009 pours a clear gold with a foamy white head. leaves some nice lace upon the glass. Notes of caramel, mango, and bread with floral, grassy hops. medium body. decent IPA blipp (1631), Newark, New Jersey, USA Jun 6, 2009 Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Floral hoppy aroma with some citric hints. The flavor brings earthy, floral hops, and a bit of sweet malt. Decent, but not overly impressive. DiabolikDUB (143), Portland, Oregon, USA Jun 5, 2009 Poured from Bottle into Pint glass.
Pours a crystal clear golden color with a finger of white creamy head that dissolves into a fine layer around the glass. The Aroma has piney/grassy hops and some grapefruit. The flavor has a biting piney bitterness upfront with caramel malt down the stretch and ends up with a sweet bitterness. Its a medium bodied beer that a lightly carbonated. Its a nice change of pace from the typical NW citrus hop bombs but that doesn’t mean I’d reach for it every time I saw it. WesKBob (317), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA Jun 2, 2009 Pours a cloudy golden orange color. Thin white head. Aromia is grapefruit and pine. Flavor leans heavily toward the bitter hops. Just a hint of caramel malt and peppery spice. Mouthfeel is a little on the watery side. Bitter hop finish. In this IPA, the hops seem a bit "forced," overpowering rather than being complimented by the other flavors. A decent IPA, and a good session beer. mikebeertaster (94), vancouver, Washington, USA Jun 1, 2009 A real cloudy copper colored IPA. Nice aroma with decent flavor. Very smooth IPA with not a lot of bitter bite beerandIT (177), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 31, 2009 Pours beautiful golden amber with a small amount of head. Aroma is citrus and hops. Almost reminds me of a maharaja light, haha. Medium bodied. I get strong citrus and hops on the palate. Nice grapefruit in there. Nice mouth feel as well. Stays around for awhile with the grapefruit/citrus. twitcher (293), framingham, Massachusetts, USA May 31, 2009 bottle.
Pours a pale slightly hazy light orange color, nice inch of off white head that clears to leave a decent layer of foam and plenty of lacing. Heavy, sticky aromas of citrus and pine resins, with some underlying notes of caramel and booze heat. Aromas on the harsh side. Flavor mellows over the nose; sharp but contained hop bite on the front, showing notes of grapefruit, fresh cut grass and flowers, and some resins. Bitterness sticks throughout. Minimal sweetness- some light toasted caramel notes in the background. Flavor is solid, if not especially exciting or showing much depth. Palate is a bit on the oily side, with some light bitterness on the finish. Overall a decent IPA, but nothing really beyond that.
