Commercial Description:
In the 1700's one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Bottled. An orange-amber beer with a slight haze under a thick bubble beige head. The aroma is very grassy and grapefruity - very fresh. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy at first with strong notes of grass, then a hay character comes along, to be overwhelmed grapefruit notes, which carries thru to a dry hay like and very bitter end. Somewhere in the middle a slight note of caramel creeps in - but this is mainly a hoppy beer nice.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Slightly hazy, pale amber with a creamy, off-white head. Perfumy and very floral hop aroma. Markedly sweet, completely dominated by lovely aroma hops. But never excessively bitter. 160106

Bottled. Deep golden, dense head. Lychee hop aaroma. Medium bodied with rounded, clean mouthfeel. A streamlined, archetypical US style IPA with lingering very bitter finish. One-dimensional, but very enjoyable.

Bottle. Nice, sweet, flowery, teaish hop aroma. Almost clear copper colour. The flavour is also teaish, probably from the hops. Gets a bit much. OK mouthfeel.
