Commercial Description:
In the 1700's one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Had at The Pub in Pembroke Pines, FL. Purs a nice gold color, no real head. Aroma is citrus, hops, floral. Taste is hoppy and malty and the bitterness is present but not lingering. Nice beer overall.

Medium offwhite head. Hazy orange body with yeast particles. Firm sweetish malty aroma with powerful tropical fruit and pine needle notes. Dry pine needle and mango taste with firm malty background. Notes of straw. Dry straw, pine needle, and resin aftertaste. Excellent (0.341l bottle at Knut Albert’s.)

In the bottle at the Huber Haus IPA tasting. Rich dark gold color. Off-white head. Slight toasted aroma with a weak hop aroma. Strong mid-palate dryness. Hard tartness to the finish. Long slow burn of bitterness at the end. Awesome lacing left in the glass. UPDATE 8/15/6: In the bottle. Pours gold with a gratuitous white head. Aroma has an interesting meaty scent coupled with a strong piney citrus hop smell. Very nice lacing and cloudy good head retention. Great juniper flavor. Nearly gin-like. Citrus lemon, lime and grapefruit flavors round out the thick palate. An all-around good beer.

A good but not great ipa. Its best quality is the great palate, with enough body to keep it interesting but not so heavy that it is hard to drink. The aroma is mostly hoppy, but some floral aspects. The flavor blends herbal and fruity hops and does it well; something few IPAs even attempt. Gold body with a small head, looks only a shade better than many lagers.

Copper orange, slightly hazy, small white head. Sweet, bold flowery hop aroma with notes of leaves and earth. Dry leafy and floral hop flavour with notes of lemon. Dry lingering hop bitter finish.

Bottle. Orange-grapefruit hops aroma. Light orange-yellow color with moderate head and nice lacing. Initially a slight sweet orange-grapefruit fllavor with a moderate hops finish.

Bottle. Amber color with a big white head. Big grapefruit aroma that also seems very refreshing. Nice bitterness, but a slightly light body. Light malt body, good bittering flavor of grapefruit, some tar, and some spice. Easy to drink.
