| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2005 Deep golden, creamy off white head. Initial grapefruit aromas get followed up quickly with notes of earth, caramel, and lesser notes of pine. Had an almost 60 Min IPA nose to it. Well hopped flavors up front with no real bitterness to speak of, soft sweet caramel backbone rounds it out. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter-sweet, drying finish. Drinkable for sure, but definitely not a top notch IPA... fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 24, 2005 Updated: Dec 4, 2005Draft at San Diego Brewing Co. Poured typical golden yellow with a decent head that left decent lacing. Aromas of grapefruity citrusy hops and flavors of the same. Maybe just a little watery on the flavor, but still a very tasty IPA.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 20, 2008 Pours a bright, but cloudy orange colour- head is fairly large- white and floral. Nice citrusy character, soft and piney but typicaly hopped. My only complaint about this brew is- there’s nothing exciting about it. Pretty standard for the most part. Nothing unique, lots of hops and fruit but basic overall. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Feb 4, 2002 Rerating this one with an upgrade. Excellent. Pours a hazy gold color, sits very pretty in the glass. Scent is tart and crisp. Flavor is of apricots and loads of grapefruit, reminscent of drinking Campari. Has a very big hoppy finish. What’s exceptional here it the palate on this one, full and slightly creamy. Just feels nice in the mouth. One of the better hopmonster IPAs I’ve encountered. tronraner (1939), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2006 Bottle. Pours brass-colored with a dune of tight white head. The aroma is mostly hops, but has a distinct malty undertone to it as well. The flavor is quite piney with some hints of apple over a slightly earthy malt. The finish is sharp, bitter, and floral. This is a very tasty IPA. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 6, 2005 Tap: copper body. Aroma is huge grapefruit, some citrus. Flavor is the same, well put together IPA. Not a world classic, but certainly enjoyable.
