Avery knows how to give it’s drinkers good head! Mellow hops that are mostly citrus and flowery. Some orange and the crystal malts give a good backing. The grapefruit comes out for the citrus in the flavors. Nice hop bill. Again it is nicely balanced. The malts are not too pervasive. Tangy with a lingering maltiness on the tongue which finishes bitter. LinusStick (1844), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Taste was all floral hops with a hint of malt in the background. thegreenrooster (1835), St.louis, Missouri, USA

Aroma is a nice dry hop with not much else coming though but that is a good thing. Flavor is super hoppy and bitter with some malts coming through. A very nice example of the style. nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Clear gold with a huge, over-carbonated head that lasts with good foamy lace. Aroma is grapefruit and pine-grassy hops. Flavor is good balance of sweet malt and citrus hops; gets increasingly hoppier and ends with a nutty-cocoa and resin-crisp aftertaste. Smooth, dryish and easy, with surprisingly little tingle for all the hops and carbonation. Nice, widely available AIPA. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA

It pours clear amber-orange with an average sized creamy head that mostly diminished but left good lacing. Aroma is light bready malts, with a heavy grapefruit hops that jumped out assertively. Moderately sweet with a mild caramel malt flavor upfront. Big bitter hops come on strong leaving a crisp, dry hop finish. Light to medium body, watery texture with lively carbonation and astringent feel in the finish. Nice beer, but could use a touch more maltiness to balance the hops galore! Has a strong grapefruit aroma. Nice medium body. The taste is a strong grapefruit bitter flavor with a malt sweetness that sneaks in the back door. Finishes with a bittersweet after taste.

Great aroma. Very fruity hops with a excellent mix of peaches and pears. Could sit here and smell it all night. But what fun would that be. Color is a medium golden orange. Light bodied. Crisp and smooth with a great balance. Plenty of hops in there. Bitterness shows up at the finish and lingers for a while. More fruit in the flavor. Very easy drinking. An excellent IPA.
