Commercial Description:
In the 1700's one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Avery just doesnt seem to dissapoint me and this one is no exception. The smell of the hops is abundant, along with a slight earthy tone.

Pours golden with a white, dissappearing head. Smells of plant sap. Has some lacing. Medium sweet- and sourness with some dyrness (especially towards the finish). Full bodied. Short sour and long, hoppy bitter finish.

I can smell the grapefruit in this one as soon as I open the bottle. A closer sniff ref\veals some sweetness, lightly toasted malt and earthy hops. Great cream yeah with an orangish body. Very refreshing citrus quickly taken over by a dry, butter, rindey citrus. The flavor is rounded out by lightly toasted malts and earthy hops

Pours light amber with a small white head that fades quickly. Nice lacing. The aroma is pine and citrus. The flavor is pine and grapefruit, some biscuity malt. Finish is dry, bitter and lasting.

Bottle. Light amber color. Moderate white head. Big citric hop nose. Body is medium. Malts are overpowered by hops. Finish is lingering hops.

Crystal cleat golden with a thick, sticky white head. Aroma is full of citrus and pine, with some Munich malt character. Lots of earthy and C hop flavor. Toasted. Strong bitter finish. A bit oily. A welcome addition to the KC area selection.

12oz bottle. Filtered and lively, bubbling. Orange, copper hued. Finger of white head. Bright citrusy nose. Slightly doughy malty, spicy aromas. Fuller and lively. Crisp. Dry. Fruity notes. Spicy and zesty. Great full blown hop flavor. Fruits like grapefruit and apples. I really liked this brew!

Large head, clear golden. Pungent Cascade hop aroma. Big hop punch up front, good bitterness throughout. Long bitter finish. Very well done IPA.
