May 1, 2004 Nice IPA. Pours amber with a nice off-white head. Aroma is of intense hops and grapfruit. Obviously, the taste is very hoppy, grapefruity with citrus, pine and good malt backing. Mouthfeel is very full, thick, round with a nice bitter aftertaste. Nice lacing on the glass. Highly recommended. Reminds me a little of Anderson Valley Hop Ottin' IPA.

May 1, 2007 Poured a clear light copper color with a thick white head. Hop aroma more earthy and grassy, as opposed to real sharp citrusy aromas. Taste is dry with a decent hop finish and no realt malt character. A decent IPA.

Sep 17, 2008 Pours golden with a small white head. Great aroma, fresh hops and citrus. Clean flavor, very crisp, piney and a bit salty. Light crisp body.

Jun 8, 2009 Bottle - Mondial de la Bière, Montréal. Limpid golden body with average carbonation and a fair white foamy head. Enjoyable malty/hoppy aroma with floral and fruity hints. Taste is well balanced and carries piney and herbal notes. Ends with a long bitter finish. Good IPA.

Apr 23, 2007 12 oz bottle. I’m hoping that somehow this was a bad bottle because I can’t imagine Avery intended the beer to be this way. The bottle opened fine and after Iwalked twney feet to go outside and pour it all that came out was foam, foam and more foam. After twenty minutes of allowing the head to disipate and pouring the rest in this beer had a honey like appearance and looked flat. Mouthfeel was flat I guess all that foam ate up the carbonation. Aroma, when there was some detectable under that GIANT foamy head, was citrus hops and flavor was mildly sweet with a slight bitter aftertaste but not much hops. Maybe I will rerate this one day but for now this is a pass.

Feb 15, 2008 Pours a golden color with a nice uneven white foamy head. Aroma is tart hop but not the grapefruit variety. It is a nice feature of the beer and is floral and refreshing. Flavor is more bitter than tart and has a nice amount of malt. There is pine and some sour apple. This is as good an IPA as I have sampled. Very well done, Avery!

Mar 3, 2009 Bright orange in color with a decent sized off-white head. Aroma is of pine, grass, and grapefruit. Taste is of grapefruit, hops and lots of grass.
