| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 10, 2006 Updated: Sep 6, 2007Golden hued, off-white head. Smells strongly of bright simcoe hops, leaning more toward the light fruits than to resinous, earthy tones. Tastes of pine and bonfire smoke, some acidic grapefruit, with a strong, sweet pale malt finish to keep it well rounded. Well-balanced, simple, and well-done. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2004 Average sized creamy off-white head that is fully lasting... light and clear yellow/amber body. Cascadey grapefruit aroma with a flowery pepper sense. Taste was also cascade in type, with a peppery bite and grapefruit peel. Overall, mediocre, but not bad. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 31, 2002 This was cool! I couldn’t remember the name of the IPA that I had last night, so I thought, ’Oh, hell, I’ll just type ’ipa’ and scan down the list’, and this is the first one. I *really* liked the smell of this stuff, the crisp floral hoppiness was nicely pronounced and I think I could pick out every citrus fruit known to mankind in the nose. The flavor didn’t quite follow through but it was still nicely balanced. This would be a good IPA for those who are put off by west-coast breweries hopping the shit out of their beers. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 16, 2007 Had on 8/25/1998. Color is a lightly hazed gold with good carbonation, but a light head. Aroma is full of hops with a slight sour scent in the back. Taste is mild yet bitter. Starting off with a light body the bitterness can be felt right away. It goes down with a flat feel on the back of your mouth. The finish has a light body but a strong bitterness and a fair amount of hop flavor. ilovedarkbeer (1367), Dallas, Texas, USA

Smells of citrus and hops. Tastes of pine and flowers. Pretty good IPA but has a bit of a harsh mouthfeel. Borup (1360), Albertslund, Denmark
