Somewhat cloudy, dark orange pour with a foamy, off-white head. Complex nose, some grains but mostly floral. Citrus in the taste, some orange and lemon, along with the standard bitterness from hops, roses and raisins. Complex finish. This was a keeper. matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 2, 2003 I’ve had this Avery IPA that Andrew196 sent me unintentionally sitting for a few months now. Poured into my Corsendonk Tulip glass this sparkling IPA pours a crystal copper colored body with a huge froth of rocky white head. The perfume like aroma is large with pine sap & grapefruit, very much a fragrance of a sawmill. The flavor has mostly the same characteristics. This is FAR hoppier than I was expecting, I think that if I liquefied a Christmas tree, and added some fresh grapefruit peel zest, the concoction would be this identical brew. Smooth palate with a Nice dry finish.
Thanks for the IPA Mike, Cheers

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 12, 2005 Crystal clear amber, large white lasting head. Hop aromas take charge quickly,. Medium mouthfeel with an initial caramel malt flavor that is quickly subdued by the pine and spice hop flavors. But, the malt base conitnues into the finish, balanced by hop bitterness that lingers. Up there with the good ones. Gregis (1135), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 22, 2007 Having heard nothing about this beer prior to purchasing it, I was pleasantly surprised. It pours a deep gold with a large, dense, pillowy, off-white head that takes it’s sweet time in diminishing. The aroma is citrus, pine and flowers. The palate is medium-bodied with a bitter finish that wicks all moisture from the tongue. The flavor is sweet caramel malts up front with a strong floral, pine and citrus hop backing. This is a tasty IPA with a nice lingering finish. piscator34 (1133), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2006 Clear dark gold (verging on light orange) in colour with strong carbonation. Huge C-hop aromas of pine, black pepper, and grapefruit. More of the same in the mouth, only that the citrus flavors are a little less specifically grapefruit, and there is a sweet buttered biscuit element that makes an appearance mid palate. The chunky bitterness gets smoothed out a bit by the somewhat sweet malts. Good stuff. kyzr (1127), Belgrade, Montana, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 18, 2008 This definitely has a very clean hop nose, full of fresh citrus fruits, and that’s pretty much it, a slight background of cookie dough maltiness. Not much to this other than hops, so if that pleases you than this is your beer. I was looking for a little bit more.
